A Christian Science Perspective

Divine Love tenderly cares for all of its creation. As we begin to trust this, and humbly listen and silence our own opinion and human will, we find that Love washes away fear and a sense that we are personally responsible for everybody else. You might say, as a flower turns toward the sun, so we can turn to God, and thought blooms with inspiration as we are guided to right action.

The Bible records Christ Jesus urging his followers to trust that evil could not remain veiled. He encouraged them not to fear those conspiring against good, because “There is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known” (Matthew 10:26, New King James Version).

I realized that what my relative was yearning for was to understand and feel God’s love. With all my heart, I reached out to God to know what to say to comfort him. As I prayed and listened, I felt a deep conviction of God’s tender love for both of us, right then and there.
